Common Styles of Windows

Double Hung Windows
By far the most popular window style is the double hung. With two vertically movable sashes, ventilation happens from the top, bottom, or both sections.
Horizontal Slider
The sashes of a horizontal slider move from side to side horizontally. Two and three lite options are available.

Casement
Casement windows are the most versitle of all window style options. With hinges on one side of the sash, windows swing outward. They provide 100% ventilation when fully opened, and superior air, water, and security performance when closed.

Awnings

Awnings are like casement windows that are hinged at the top and swing outward.
Bow
Bow windows are a good choice for an elegant detail that provides extra light, ventilation and expanded views to any room.
Bay
Choose between a 35 degree or 45 degree angle for a bay window. Create with picture windows, casements, or double hungs. Bay windows project outside the home and provide extra light, ventilation, and expanded views.
Picture
As the name suggests, picture windows provide relatively large, open views and are often used in combination with operating windows. They can be joined above, below, in between or to the sides of operating windows.
Special Shapes
These are fixed windows available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Typically these windows are arches, half round or round windows
